How does Support Your Cause keep track of the account credit I earn?
We keep track of your credits through your member account. Whenever you enter a store from the link on our Web site and make a purchase, you account credit for your favorite cause. In order to ensure we credit your account, always make sure you come to our site and sign in before you start shopping.
How much money does my cause receive when I shop?
Your cause receives the full percentage of the purchase price (does not include tax, shipping, or handling) which is listed on Support Your Cause. 100% of this goes contribution to your cause. There are no administrative costs and no fees to your cause.
Do I need to start my shopping from Support Your Cause?
Yes to get credit for your cause, and to qualify for exclusive deals, you must start your shopping at the at SupportYourCause.com or by clicking through any one of our e-mail newsletters.
How do I make sure I get credit for my Qualified Purchases?
Purchases you make at Support Your Cause merchants are only credited if you start shopping at our site and click to the merchant from there. If you click through Support Your Cause and make a purchase, then surf elsewhere on the Web and return to that merchant and make a second purchase, your second purchase will not earn an account credit.
Do my purchases at "Coupons Only" or "0% Reward" Merchants benefit worthy causes?
Yes! Because Support Your Cause donates 10% of profits to causes designated by its members, your purchase will still benefit your cause. Please note however that these purchase amounts will not directly appear in your account since these merchants do not report to Support Your Cause purchases by specific member.
How does the Tell A Friend program work?
It's easy! Tell your friends about our free service and how they too raise money for their favorite cause! In the process, you will also be supporting your own favorite cause. When any of your referred friends signs up, you'll receive an ongoing bonus to your cause equal to 10% of their commissions*, while they immediately earn a $5 bonus. No, Support Your Cause's program is a 100% free service.
Am I paying the same price when I shop through Support Your Cause?
Yes! You pay the exact same price as you would pay if you shopped with our merchants directly. Your invoice or bill does not increase, and you enjoy the same level of service from our partners.
Can I make purchases using a coupon and still get account credit?
Yes! We offer many special promotions on our Coupons page. If you use the coupon codes listed on our site, you can save money and still earn account credit. The one exception is for "Coupon Only" merchants where your individual purchases will not directly accrue reward credit. However, since do donate 10% of our net profit to our member causes, all of your purchases in total can help raise funds for your cause so don't hesitate to purchase from "Coupon Only" merchants.
I just made a purchase. Why don't I see my account credit?
Depending on the store, this can take up to 30 days. We credit your account when the store you've bought from tells us about your purchase. If you don't see a credit to your account after 30 days, please contact our customer service department at contact@supportyourcause.com. Please make sure that cookies are enabled on your browser. If your browser doesn't allow cookies, then we don't know when or how much to credit your account. For more on cookies, see the section above in these FAQs "What are cookies and how do I make sure my computer is accepting them?". Many stores don't keep records beyond a 60 day period, so we must be notified within 60 days of the purchase transaction date in order to investigate.
When do checks get send out?
We mail your favorite cause a check every 3 months, provided that you have a minimum balance of $25 in your Cash Back account. Checks are sent to you on or around February 15th, May 15th, August 15th, and November 15th.
Why is there a deduction on my account balance?
When you return an item that you've purchased through our site, your credit on that purchase is automatically deducted from your account balance. So, you might see a negative credit (or a deduction) on your account balance.
Can I earn account credit when I use or buy gift certificates?
Sorry, but buying or redeeming gift certificates doesn't earn you account credit unless stated otherwise.
What if I decide to return an order?
Returned orders are accepted according to each individual Affiliate Merchant return policy. If you return an order, then your original credit will be subtracted from your account if it has already been added in. Therefore, if you return an order, your account may show a negative balance.
Can I exchange an item and still receive my account credit?
Unfortunately, no, when you return an item, your purchase and original credit will be reversed in your account.
What if I have a problem with my order?
Contact the orders or customer service department of the merchant. They'll best equipped to help you resolve any questions you have about your order.
What are cookies and how do I make sure that my computer is accepting them?
